Brooks Laich Kisses Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir Before Hawaii Trip

Brooks Laich appeared to confirm that he is dating the Icelandic athlete Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir when he was spotted kissing her on Sunday.
The 38-year-old former professional hockey player was seen cheering on the 28-year-old star CrossFit athlete before they embraced for a kiss on Sunday at the  in Madison, .
The two celebrated the completion of competition by jetting off to for a romantic couple's vacation.

Katrín placed second in the event, in which the competitors raced while doing lunges and holding barbells above their heads.
After completing the event, she was seen on the live feed heading over to the stands and hugging another woman.

Brooks was right next to her and beamed while wearing a white T-shirt with Davíðsdóttir's last name written across his chest.

'Ever since I met @katrintanja she's always said one of her favorite events at the @crossfitgames is snatching under the lights of a packed Coliseum on Saturday night!' he wrote.
'I finally got to witness it last night, and it's truly a spectacle!
'It's one competitor at a time, and all the eyes in the building are watching only you when it's your turn. It's what we athletes call "SHOWTIME,"' he continued, adding, 'There's nothing better than being able to put your years of hard work and dedication on display in front of thousands of raucous fans screaming in support!' 
He concluded by thanking Katrín for continuing 'to inspire and amaze,' adding that 'it was an absolute joy to watch you in your element last night!'

In a follow-up post from Monday, he shared a clip of the weightlifter running on a field with other athletes and revealed it was the first time he had seen her compete live.
'I am left more inspired and amazed than I could have ever imagined,' Brooks wrote.
'So proud of the way she competed this weekend, which was the expression of the hard work she put in to be here. Rest assured the next time she takes the field, I will be there watching — bearing witness to one of the greatest competitors I have ever met!'
Katrín jumped into the comments to gush about knowing her beau was with her.
'THE MOST incredible feeling to get to step out on that comp floor & I know you know that feeling aaaaaaaaaall too well. Thankful for you & the best support always always always,' she wrote.
She also thanked her fans for cheering her on on her own account.
'Though I had higher hopes for this weekend, I am extremely proud of the work I put in all season long, and I gave it everything I had this past weekend,' she wrote. 'You make the Games week the most magical time of the season!! xxx.'

From the CrossFit Games it was off to Hawaii for the lovebirds.

'Kicking off this off-season in a place I have been dreaming of coming for yeeeeeeeears .. ALOHA HAWAII,' she wrote.

Brooks' newest relationship is heating up in the wake of his failed marriage to actress and dancer Julianne Hough, 33.

In 2019, Julianne came out as bisexual, and Brooks later said that he hadn't 'fully expressed' his sexuality in January 2020.

Despite the newfound openness, the two seemed to be having marital troubles throughout the early pandemic months, when they quarantined separately, with Julianne staying in LA while Brooks was in Idaho.
In May of 2020 they announced their separation. 'We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate,' they said in a joint statement. 'We share an abundance of love and respect for one another and will continue to lead with our hearts from that place. We kindly request your compassion and respect for our privacy moving forward.'
The two reportedly remained on friendly terms, and Brooks attended his wife's birthday over the summer while her brother Derek attended his birthday celebrations.
