Du har nu kommit till huvudsidan för Psalmer, Andliga Sånger och Biblar. Detta är ett försök att spegla de ämnen vars litteratur huvudsakligen återfinns i Psalmboks- och Bibelmuseet på Kroken. Texterna är avsedda att komplettera de guidningar som ges i museet och kan läsas både före och efter ett besök i museet. Men det är bara genom ett besök som du får höra de fantastiska små historierna och får uppleva originalböckernas fascinerande doft och känsla. Museet innehåller originalböcker från 1541 och framåt men många faksimil av böcker från 1500-talet och framåt. Både besök och guidning är helt gratis.

Till höger ser du en Praktpsalmbok tryckt 1890 hos Fröléen & Co. Den innehåller, som de flesta psalmböcker psalmerna (i detta fall 1819 års 500 psalmer) och en Evangeliebok, dvs 3 årgångar av bibeltexterna för alla söndagar. Därutöver har den koraler för alla psalmer (dvs 4-stämmiga noter enligt Haeffners koralbok 1819), biografier och porträtt av framstående psalmförfattare och kompositörer.

Museet drivs helt ideellt med mina egna resurser. Genom åren har vi tagit emot både stora och små donationer av böcker, för vilka vi är synnerligen tacksamma. Utan bokdonationer är vi fattiga i samlingarna. Vi har redan en mängd mycket intressanta böcker, inte bara psalmböcker och biblar. Men jag tar gärna emot fler donationer. Det finns alltid nya, spännande böcker att forska på. Skulle jag få för många av ett visst exemplar försöker jag ge det vidare, alternativt bränna det. Heliga böcker slänger man inte i soporna! Om vi bränner människor när deras liv är slut kan vi väl bränna böcker när de är för trasiga för att vara till nytta eller glädje?
